The Timer custom home is a Midwest-inspired modern farmhouse in Pennsburg, PA. This two-story custom home was built on a working Bucks County farm, complete with a custom-built barn. The home consists of 4,324 square feet of living space with five bedrooms, three and a half baths, and an in-law suite for extended visits from family and friends.

The Timer family was passionate about this project, lending their opinions and helping us collaboratively design a space they were excited about. The homeowner sketched out the layout of their dream home to give us a baseline of exactly what they were looking for by way of home design. We took these ideas and brought their vision to life. The completed project features complete custom cabinetry throughout the home, a three-car garage, and three covered porches.

The First Floor

This home was designed and built with an open-concept floor plan in mind. Since this is a working farm, having a first-floor laundry and mudroom was essential. The kitchen’s main focal point is the customized island in the center of the kitchen, which provides the perfect space for entertaining family and friends. The two-story great room has a balcony above and looks into the kitchen and dining room area. The heart of the great room has a gas fireplace and two-story windows that bring in plenty of natural light and a view of the rolling farm pastures.

The main floor consists of an in-law suite for the homeowner’s mother who often visits for extended stays. This suite is complete with a small kitchenette, a private bathroom, and a private entrance from the covered porch.

The master suite on the main floor has 2-lite sliding patio doors from the outside and a gas fireplace for cozy winter nights. The master bathroom features his and hers vanities with a make-up vanity, a bench for the lady of the house and a large walk-in tiled shower.

The Second Floor

Oak treads with painted riser stairs and a wire cable railing lead you to the second floor. The second floor consists of three bedrooms, office space, and two full bathrooms. The Jack and Jill bath features a pocket door closing off the vanity from the shower, allowing two people to get ready at the same time.
