The Clayton home in Bath, Pennsylvania is a modern farmhouse with traditional design elements. This custom-built home consists of 2,275 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms.
The homeowners brought us this home plan, which was designed to make room for their growing family and to enjoy the surrounding views, as their property is at the highest elevation in Northampton County. The exterior of their home features a side entry garage and a rear covered patio to enjoy the scenery.
The foyer features an extra-wide entryway with hardwood flooring. The homeowner added personal touches by supplying the light fixtures used throughout the home.
The kitchen has hardwood flooring throughout and features a two-toned design for a modern and clean look. The room is tied together with quartz countertops and a farmhouse single-bowl, apron-front sink. We designed the kitchen to have an open concept which looks into the dining room and great room.
The focal point of the great room is the fireplace, with full-height stone surround and a wooden barn beam mantle. This space allows for the homeowner to install a wood-burning fireplace at a later date.
The master bathroom has a custom-designed shower with tiled walls and flat pebble flooring, and features cherry stained cabinets to bring warmth into the room.
We installed a holiday window electrical package for the windows in the front of the home. We also upgraded the interior doors with a craftsman design to bring the rustic touch into this modern home.
The homeowner supplied and installed radiant-floor heat in the basement and garage floors. The basement bathroom will be finished in the future, so we created a rough-in bath and sink.
