The Altrogge custom home is located on beautiful Lake Wynonah and will be used year-round as a vacation home. The family loves to come here in the summer to entertain at the home and also on the lake with their boat. What a relaxing retreat with these gorgeous views!
The Mix of Materials
The exterior of the home displays a mix of materials that all work cohesively for a unique style. The customers chose Certainteed board and batten siding, cedar shake siding, stone by Environmental Stoneworks, and custom-made gable pediments by MRD Lumber, Inc. The color theme is warm and inviting. The Therma Tru Fiber-Classic front door, sidelights, and transom pull the natural, rustic theme together. On the rear deck, overlooking the lake, the customers went with Trex Deck with cable wire railing in order to allow unobstructed views.
The Open Concept Interior
Upon entering the home, you are greeted by the open basement stairs which showcase oak-stained treads and painted risers with black, round aluminum infill. The open basement stairs combined with the cathedral ceiling in the open-concept living area, create an even larger feel to this living and entertaining space. An amazing amount of natural light was added to this space using Viwinco windows and patio doors. The customer opted for no grilles to allow for unobstructed views of the lake.
The kitchen showcases Kemper Cabinetry in a Coconut, off-white paint color with accents of oil-rubbed bronze hardware and ample granite countertop space for cooking and entertaining. As you move across the hardwood flooring into the living area, you will find a gas fireplace positioned in the corner of the room with a full-height stone surround and repurposed mantel, which can be used on those chilly days. A custom-made barn door adds privacy and character between the master bedroom and main living area.
The Perfect Accommodations
Not only did the homeowner finish off the layout of their main floor with a full bathroom and laundry room, they added two spare bedrooms for any guests lucky enough to enjoy this home and the beautiful lake views with them. While the basement was left unfinished now, the customer plans to finish this in the future, only adding more space for entertaining and enjoyment.
